Bearing accessories

For metric shafts
Product Introduction
Adapter sleeves are commonly used to secure tapered bore bearings to cylindrical journals. They can be used on both smooth and stepped shafts.
This accessory facilitates installation without requiring additional space on the shaft. When used on smooth shafts, the bearing can be secured anywhere on the shaft. When used on stepped shafts, adapter sleeves, combined with L-shaped spacers, provide more precise axial positioning of the bearing, facilitating installation and removal.

Withdrawal sleeve
Product Introduction
Withdrawal sleeves are used to mount bearings with a tapered bore on cylindrical journals on stepped shafts (fig. 1). The sleeve is pressed into the bore of the bearing inner ring, which in turn presses against a shaft shoulder or similar retaining element. The sleeve can be secured with a nut or end plate. KM or HM locknuts with the appropriate locking mechanism are suitable (locknuts with a keyway are required). Locknuts are not supplied with the sleeve and must be ordered separately. End plates are not manufactured by JOJI.
Lock nuts requiring a keyway
Product Introduction
  • KM, KML, HM...T Metric Lock Nuts with Lock Washers
  • HM(E) Metric Lock Nuts with Locking Clips
  • N and AN Imperial Design Lock Nuts with Lock Washers

Lock nuts with integral locking
Product Introduction
  • KMFE Metric Lock Nut with Set Screw
  • KMK Metric Lock Nut with Built-in Locking
Lock nuts with built-in locking can reduce shaft costs by eliminating the need for a keyway. They also eliminate the need for a separate locking device, making installation faster and easier. However, the loosening torque of these lock nuts requires careful consideration. For information on loosening torque, refer to the product data for each lock nut series.
