Super precision bearings

Angular contact ball bearings
Product Introduction

JOJI manufactures super-precision angular contact ball bearings for shaft diameters ranging from 6–360 mm. Due to varying application requirements, JOJI's super-precision angular contact ball bearing assortment includes four ISO size series, among numerous implementation standards. This wide selection of bearing designs and variants allows for use in virtually all machine tools and other equipment requiring precision bearings.

Single column
Product Introduction
JOJI super-precision cylindrical roller bearings feature the following:
  • High-speed capability
  • High radial load carrying capacity
  • High rigidity
  • Low friction
  • Low cross-sectional height
Therefore, these bearings are particularly well-suited for machine tool spindles where the bearing arrangement must support heavy radial loads and high speeds while also providing high rigidity.
JOJI super-precision single-row cylindrical roller bearings offer higher speed performance than double-row bearings, which are better suited for carrying heavier loads.

Double direction angular contact thrust ball bearings
Product Introduction

JOJI double-direction thrust angular contact ball bearings are designed for bidirectional axial positioning of the spindle. These bearings are combined with NN 30 K or N 10 K series cylindrical roller bearings and installed in the same bearing seat hole. This bearing combination can simplify the processing of the bearing seat hole.

The nominal inner diameter and outer diameter of the double-direction thrust angular contact ball bearings are the same as those of the corresponding cylindrical roller bearings. However, the outer diameter tolerance of the seat ring is combined with the recommended bearing seat bore diameter and form and position tolerance (bearing seat tolerance under standard conditions) of the super-precision cylindrical roller bearing to provide an appropriate radial clearance in the bearing seat hole. If the outer ring is not axially pressed in the bearing seat, the clearance is sufficient to prevent the thrust bearing from being subjected to radial loads.

Thrust-radial cylindrical roller bearings
Product Introduction

Super-precision radial-thrust cylindrical roller bearings are commonly used to support rotary tables, indexing heads, and multi-spindle heads in machining centers. JOJI manufactures super-precision radial-thrust cylindrical roller bearings with shaft diameters ranging from 80 to 850 mm. The internal design of these bearings, combined with the precision-tolerance manufacturing process, results in radial runout better than P4 tolerance grade, while axial runout approaches P4 tolerance grade.

One-way bearings
Product Introduction
Machine tools require screw drives to position a workpiece or machine component quickly, efficiently, and precisely. To meet these requirements, both ends of the screw drive can be supported by SKF super-precision angular contact thrust ball bearings. These bearings provide high axial stiffness and axial load capacity, adapt to high speeds and rapid acceleration, and provide very high operating accuracy.
Thrust angular contact ball bearings for screw drives are well suited to screw drive applications, as well as other applications that require reliable radial and axial support and extremely precise axial guidance of the shaft.

Precision lock nuts
Product Introduction

Industrial locknuts with lock washers are considered unsuitable for high-precision bearing applications due to the relatively wide manufacturing tolerances on the threads and support surfaces. Therefore, JOJI has developed a full line of precision locknuts manufactured to very close tolerances. These easy-to-install devices accurately and effectively lock bearings and other components to shafts, meeting the technical and economic requirements of machine tool applications.

All JOJI precision lock nuts are locked in place by friction between the mating threaded surfaces of the spindle and the lock nut. To utilize this friction, JOJI manufactures precision lock nuts in the following designs:

  • Precision lock nut with locking pin
Ring gauge
Product Introduction

Conventional measurement methods and instruments are not always suitable for inspecting the tapered mounting surface of rolling bearings or measuring the inner and outer diameters of cylindrical roller bearing roller sets in precision applications. Therefore, JOJI has developed a series of specially designed gauges to meet the precise measurement needs when installing tapered bore cylindrical roller bearings. These gauges can also be used in other precision applications.

GRA 30 series ring gauges and DMB taper gauges can be used to inspect most common tapered seating surfaces. A GRA ring gauge can only be used to inspect the tapered seating surface of a specific bearing size. However, a DMB taper gauge can be used for a range of diameters and for tapers other than 1:12.

In order to accurately adjust the radial clearance or preload of tapered bore cylindrical roller bearings during installation, the circumscribed circle diameter and inscribed circle diameter of the roller must be accurately measured. JOJI GB 30 and JOJI 10 series or GB 49 series internal clearance gauges can easily measure accurate values.
