Cylindrical roller and cage thrust assemblies are designed to withstand heavy axial loads and shock loads in one direction. Thrust bearings can be used in applications where the adjacent elements are used as keyways, allowing bearing arrangements with low axial section heights. If the adjacent elements cannot be used as keyways, they can be used without one or two housing rings to form a complete bearing.
- Higher axial load carrying capacity
- Higher rigidity
- Long service life
- Little axial space required
- Can be combined with bearing washers
