Four-point contact ball bearings with locating grooves can withstand higher axial loads and smaller radial loads in both directions. They can be operated at very high speeds and can withstand higher axial forces than deep groove ball bearings. The outer ring assembly with steel balls and cage can be mounted separately from the double half inner ring. Locating grooves can be used to prevent the outer ring from rotating.
- High speed capability
- Can withstand higher bi-directional axial loads and smaller radial loads
- Requires much less axial space than double row angular contact ball bearings
- Locating grooves can be used to prevent the outer ring from rotating
