Single-row deep groove ball bearings for high-temperature applications are designed for severe operating conditions, with some variants able to withstand temperatures up to 350 °C (660 °F). The high-temperature bearings have increased radial clearance and use a graphite-based lubricant optimised for operation at high temperatures. All surfaces of the bearings are treated with manganese phosphate, which enhances the adhesion of the lubricant to the metal and improves run-in performance. Due to their wide use and versatility, deep groove ball bearings can withstand axial and radial loads in both directions and are easy to mount.
