This coating prevents stray currents from passing through the bearing, protects it from galvanic corrosion damage and helps to prevent lubricant deterioration due to current discharge. Due to their wide range of use, versatility and low friction, deep groove ball bearings are optimised to reduce noise and vibration and thus increase rotational speeds.
