Universal thin-walled seat rings for axial needle roller bearings are supplied as separate components. They are made of spring steel and hardened, and the two faces of the seat ring are polished and can be used as a keyway. If the neighbouring machine element is not hardened but is sufficiently hard and the runout requirements are moderate, the seat rings provide a cost-effective solution. They can be used as shaft or housing rings for bearings of the AXK series or as shaft rings for bearings of the AXW series.
